What Jiyi Is
Jiyi is a word game centered on Chinese characters and vocabulary. It includes individual and shared gameplay.
Information Jiyi Collects and How
Account and Sign-In Information
When users create or access an account, Jiyi may receive account identifiers, email address, display name, and sign-in information from the user or their sign-in provider. The information received depends on the sign-in method and what the user chooses to share.
Team and Invite Information
When users create or join a Team, invite other people, or interact with Team features, Jiyi collects Team names and identifiers, membership and role information, display names, and invite activity needed to provide those features.
Team names and display names are visible to other members of the same Team.
Gameplay Information
When users play Jiyi, the game collects activity, results, progress, rewards, timing, and participation with other players. This information supports continued play, synchronization, recovery, integrity checks, and service reliability.
Detailed activity is kept for a limited period. Ongoing progress and earned rewards may be retained until account deletion. After account deletion, limited shared gameplay history may remain without the deleted user's account identifier when needed to preserve other players' records.
Moderation, Reports, and Blocking
Jiyi may filter Team names and display names. When a user reports a name or blocks another player, Jiyi collects the reported content, selected reason, relevant account or Team identifiers, status, and timestamps needed to review the report and apply the user's choice.
Reporting may hide the reported name for that user. Blocking may hide another player's display name and restrict certain future Team or invite interactions.
Analytics and Diagnostics
When Share Analytics is enabled, Jiyi uses Google Firebase to collect app and device identifiers, app and device information, gameplay and product interactions, errors, crashes, and performance information.
Share Analytics is on by default. Users can turn it off in Settings to stop optional Analytics, Crashlytics, and Performance collection.
Support Information
Settings > Contact Support opens an editable email draft. It may include the support category, app and device information, account and Team identifiers when available, and any message the user writes. The user can review or change the email before sending it.
Users should not include passwords, private account details, or other sensitive information in support emails.
Information Stored on the Device
Jiyi stores preferences, session information, selected Team state, pending invite state, and other information on the device when needed for app functionality.
How Information Is Used
Jiyi uses information to:
- Sign users in and maintain their accounts.
- Provide gameplay, progress, Teams, and invites.
- Calculate results and rewards.
- Provide support and moderation.
- Prevent misuse and protect game integrity.
- Diagnose errors, crashes, and performance problems.
- Understand usage and improve reliability when Share Analytics is enabled.
Third-Party Services
Jiyi uses:
- Apple for Sign in with Apple.
- Google Firebase for authentication, data storage and processing, analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring.
- The user's email app and email provider when the user sends a support email.
Third-party services that process Jiyi user data are required to provide protections consistent with this policy and applicable law.
Jiyi does not use collected data to track users across other companies' apps or websites.
Data Retention and Deletion
Jiyi retains information only for as long as needed to provide the game, meet the purposes described in this policy, maintain security and reliability, or satisfy legal obligations.
Account deletion is available from Settings > Account. Deletion removes the user's account and private account data, revokes active invitations created by the user, removes the user's account identifier from active Team records where applicable, and deletes private gameplay and progress data associated with the account. Sign in with Apple authorization is also revoked when applicable.
Limited shared gameplay history may remain without the deleted user's account identifier for the applicable retention period to preserve other players' records.
Current retention periods include:
- Certain detailed completed or abandoned gameplay records are normally deleted after 30 days. Operational delays may extend processing.
- Inactive guest accounts may be automatically deleted after 30 days.
- Support emails and moderation records may be retained for up to 12 months.
- Operational logs may be retained for up to 30 days.
- Firebase Analytics data may be retained for up to 2 months.
- Crash and performance information may be retained for up to 90 days, depending on the service.
- Ongoing progress and earned rewards may be retained until account deletion or until no longer needed to provide the game.
Children
Jiyi is not designed or directed to children under 13.
If a user is under the age required to use online services in their country or region, they should use Jiyi only with permission from a parent or guardian.
