1. Agreement To Terms
These Terms apply when you download, access, or use Caffemeter. By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Who May Use The App
Caffemeter is intended for adults who choose to consume caffeine and want to estimate or plan their intake. It is not intended for children under 13, and it does not recommend that anyone begin consuming caffeine.
3. Accounts And Security
Caffemeter does not currently include user accounts or login. You are responsible for your own device security and for controlling access to your device, backups, and exported files.
If account features are added later, these Terms and the Privacy Policy should be updated before release.
4. Description Of The Service
Caffemeter is a local-first caffeine forecasting and tracking app. It lets you:
- Create and use drink cards for coffee and tea.
- Log real caffeine sessions.
- Add planned or hypothetical caffeine drinks.
- View estimated caffeine remaining over time.
- Configure bedtime, default drink, tea extraction, and body weight profile settings.
- Review caffeine history.
- Export and import a Caffemeter backup JSON file.
5. Health, Wellness, Productivity, Or Informational Disclaimer
Caffemeter provides estimates for general information, personal awareness, and planning. Caffeine effects vary by person, health condition, medication, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, age, tolerance, timing, and many other factors.
Caffemeter does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, prevention, emergency services, or professional health advice. Do not rely on the app for medical, safety-critical, or emergency decisions. Talk to a qualified health professional if you have questions about caffeine, sleep, medication, pregnancy, a health condition, or symptoms.
6. AI Features
Caffemeter does not currently include runtime AI features. The app does not currently send user inputs, records, or images to an AI provider.
7. User Content
You keep ownership of the records and content you create in the app, such as caffeine records, planned drinks, profile settings, and exported backup files.
The current app stores this content locally on your device. If you choose to export, share, or send content to someone else, you are responsible for that choice and for the destination you choose.
If the developer receives user content through support, testing, or a future cloud feature, the app should receive only the limited rights needed to host, process, display, transmit, troubleshoot, and operate the service.
8. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the app for illegal activity.
- Harass, exploit, abuse, or harm others.
- Upload, import, or share content you do not have the right to use.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, scrape, or misuse the app or any related service.
- Circumvent security, access controls, payment controls, or platform rules.
- Use any future AI feature to create regulated, harmful, deceptive, abusive, or illegal outputs.
- Misrepresent caffeine forecasts or app outputs as medical advice, diagnosis, or guaranteed health guidance.
9. Subscriptions, Purchases, And Refunds
Caffemeter does not currently include subscription, in-app purchase, StoreKit, RevenueCat, Stripe, or other billing code.
10. Intellectual Property
The app, software, design, name, branding, source code, and related materials are owned by the developer or its licensors, except for content you create and records you enter.
You may use the app for your personal use as allowed by these Terms and Apple platform terms. You may not copy, sell, redistribute, or create derivative works from the app except where allowed by law or by written permission.
11. Feedback
If you send ideas, suggestions, bug reports, or other feedback, the developer may use that feedback to improve the app without owing compensation or obligation to you.
12. Third-Party Services
Caffemeter relies on Apple platform services for distribution and local system features such as file import and the share sheet. If you share an exported file with another app, cloud drive, email provider, or messaging service, that destination is controlled by its own terms and privacy practices.
Caffemeter does not currently include Firebase, analytics, ad network, payment processor, third-party AI provider, or custom backend integration.
13. Suspension And Termination
Because the current app has no account system, there is no account suspension flow in the app.
The developer may stop supporting the app or remove access to related services if services are later added, if required by law, or if users misuse the app. You may stop using the app at any time and can delete it from your device.
14. Disclaimers
The app is provided for general informational and personal planning purposes. Forecasts and calculations are estimates. The app may contain errors, and results may not reflect your actual caffeine level, sleep, performance, health, or risk.
To the extent allowed by law, the app is provided without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit for your particular purpose.
15. Limitation Of Liability
To the extent allowed by law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses related to use of the app.
16. Indemnity
You agree to be responsible for claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and expenses arising from your misuse of the app, violation of these Terms, illegal conduct, or content you import, export, share, or submit without the rights to do so.
This clause does not limit rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.
17. Changes To The Terms
The developer may update these Terms when the app, business, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top shows when this version applies. Continued use after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
